This project involved designing and implementing an identity for the UCA Farnham Graphic Communication graduate show. It was hosted at The Rag Factory, Brick Lane, London.
Making the show a success was a big task. It involved many tasks: typeface selection, invitation, experiential and website design. As well as design — videography, account and project management, and PR were all vital too. Most often these tasks would happen simultaneously which meant that the team and I would have be in constant communication via a group WhatsApp chat.
My role was a Creative Director. I took on multiple tasks from design to account handling. Most importantly, several others students at UCA played very important roles within the team3. For example they were involved with initial conception, project design, videography and show organisation. The UCA students involved were: Jacqui Browne, Hannah Strickland, David Thompson, Dominic Warren, Marcus Fenton, Jeremy Debattista and James Zamyslianskyj.
This project and the show was all self funded by the students of Graphic Communication, with much of the cost for printing and materials being covered by generous sponsorship. Our sponsors were design agencies and printers who we has built up relationships with over the course of our studies.
