Signal Noise — studio focus

This week features the information design agency Signal Noise out of Shoreditch, London.

Signal Noise produce some cutting edge information design for a range of clients. Additionally they’re holding an exhibition at their studio this weekend as part of the London Design Festival 2014. Their exhibition is called “Art of the Algorithm“, be sure to check the link provided for details of the exhibition.

Now the work feature. I have selected three of their projects that I enjoyed looking through. To me, these examples of work showcase the sort of work this agency do; from information design to app design. The featured work was done for EE, Plonk and Guinness.

Plonk app by Signal Noise

Your secret weapon for finding the wine styles you like, wherever you are. Bibendum is the UK’s leading wine merchant who caters for all sectors of the of the UK wine trade. Signal Noise designed and built the “Plonk” app for Bibendum to show their wide variety of grape styles in a periodic-styled table. The table was organised in shades of light to strong for both white and red wine. Users of the app could view information on each specific grape variety by tapping on any of the squares on screen. This would send the user to a screen providing them with a selection of on screen resources from wine name pronunciation to other grape suggestion and social network sharing.
