Playscene [visit here] are a Hampshire based playground equipment supplier. They create unique and exciting environments for schools and communities to enjoy.
Brandtastic was approached to create a digital catalogue for the company to share with customers. Due to the large volume of content and the client budget a lot of planning had to be done. We had to fit all the content into as few pages as possible. The brochure had to reflect the fun and exciting nature of the brand which was communicated through the use of playful illustrations, colour, chunky white stroked elements and rounded fonts which were individually treated to have a bumpy effect for the titles.
The Creative Director, Daniel Campling, designed the Playscene front and back covers. I designed the internal spreads and brochure layout. In order to make this brochure easy to navigate I added an interactive contents page. Each section title was given a special paragraph style which was then used as an anchor point within InDesign. The contents page was generated using this special style, which then allowed the user to quickly navigate to the section they wanted to read.
The original primary purpose of the brochure was to be printed and shared in person by the sales team, hence why the brochure was A4 and the layout was created the way it was. We opted to stick with the original format after a change in direction to digital only. We did this because a significant amount of content was already populated.
